I'm trying to convert the mesh file to solid model. Is it possible to use solidwoks software to convert the obj file for solid model.

Solidworks is not much capable in reverse engineering design specially lack in tools to surface modeling. I suggest you to use geomagic design x software which is more powerful in stl to solid conversion. if it's simple slt/obj file even you may get auto surface.
