I'm wondering how to customize the post processor for SolidWorks CAM for few g-code changes. or how do I customize my own post processor for that? I have basic g-code & other CNC codes knowledge. Is there inbuild post building program that come with SolidWorks CAM
SolidWorks CAM is basically the CAMWorks, and it's only included basic 2.5 Axis & 3 Axis milling operation. If you want to go for more advance milling operation need to go for CAMWorks integration to the SolidWorks.
When come to the post processor, SolidWorks CAM also use CAMWorks post processors. Therefore if you want to customize your own post, then generate via Universal Post Generator program. UPG is free program that provide CAMWorks, that can install and custom develop your require post for the SolidWorks CAM.
