what are the best settings to set up on a print for the best results?

Start slow, 40-60mm and with a low nozzle temp, 185 for PLA. Print a test object, and then reprint with faster/hotter settings. Tune one thing at a time

That's cool, by the way what's your personal setting for the best result. Did you use the same function ? 

 

I like to use the nickel test for my calibration, it prints fast and tests a few things at one.

I think he's asking everybody what's the best settings for YOUR printer. layer height, app, temp, filament type, print speed, etc...

For my Makerbot Replicator 2, in general I always heat my PLA to 220, I always use 10% infill, and I always use 2 shells
