Unit change in Blender

I found that all the import STL in blender unit take as meter. But my original model is in millimeter and I can use 0.001 scale factor to convert and get the correct model size. However I want to measure in millimeter values inside blender for imported model. How do I change the unit in Blender?

Follow the steps:

Start up Blender

At the right side a tab (icon)

That tab show you the Units

Click on metric

Go to the Edit mode (Press the tab on keyboard switch object mode to edit mode.)

After switching the edit mode go to the 3d view

Check the Length box after that you have the option of viewing number of measurements in Edit mode.

Follow the steps:

Start up Blender

At the right side a tab (icon)

That tab show you the Units

Click on metric

Go to the Edit mode (Press the tab on keyboard switch object mode to edit mode.)

After switching the edit mode go to the 3d view

Check the Length box after that you have the option of viewing number of measurements in Edit mode.
