How do you create planes from points extracted from scan data when there is no particular data for the plane? Am finding it hard to create an alignment using the plane since it has no data. How can i fix this?

Which version of PolyWorks are you using?
Try this method on version 2019+:
First, highlight the points on the feature tree, then go to objects (method), and the submethod should be points.
