Import textures into C4D

Hi i am new in modelling and trying to understand the software, import textures into C4D using FBX, mtl, obj, rar or dae. it's a good way forward if I could use them to the full extent.

Do the following step i my self use this when setting up materials for Cinema4D for all my models that I sell.
Tick the Reflection optop and SET GGX in Type option
Attenuation = Average
Roughness = 100%
Sampling = mip
Blur Offset 0%
Blur Scale 0%

Thanks for the steps these look so helpful. Very helpful. Looks like I'll be making my own textures as sounds like there's no quick conversion, or way of importing the model with texture from these files.

Now days models require PBR texture map. If you can understand it then creating other materials should be easier for you.
