First tell me what you learn with the Fusion 360 ? and how long you've been running it ?

I have taught myself a lot of the features of the Fusion 360 software though (such sketching, modeling, a little animation, etc

AutoCAD and Fusion360 are different beasts meant for mostly different things. The closer Autodesk suite would be Inventor though.

So its mean the skills used in both are kind of different ?

I've only had a bit of time to mess around with Fusion (I'm really liking it), but from what I see they share the UI and some shortcuts, but the skills used in both are kind of different. It really depends on what you're using AutoCAD for though.

We mainly use it for plant layout. We take the drawings that our vendors give us and place equipment, and figure out all the in between stuff like foundations, piping, and electrical

If you've never used AutoCAD then download a free copy of DraftSight to mess with. They're similar programs for 2D CAD.

Of course both are different to use. What kind of company you have ?

Mechanical engineer and now they're putting an other department their which make stuff related to the Civil engineer 

Fusion 360 is what a mechanical engineer would use.
AutoCAD is something that prevailed mostly for civil engineering. You create 2D drawing of things, there is no 3D. It is not parametric.

So yes they're different in usage
