Am looking for an application that can handle .prt or .catpart files. Something free or cheap! Fusion 360 helped but it was only good for importing models and quick views. Any ideas?

Hey, just try apps that support ACIS and Parasolids, they are usually not that costly. If your project can be converted to STEP format, they you can try FreeCAD, it will work fine and its FREE!

Free one year CATIA license available by Dassault Systems you can download and make familiar with different nomenclature.
