I'm trying the static analysts for rack design to understand what's the load which can hold by each shelves through Ansys. The shelves plates are hold via some cross bars which directly screwed in to the vertical frames. When I setup the contact in between screw to frame/cross bar is it frictional?

Because there are few contacts type bonding, frictional, frictionless,..

well, what are the contacts between threading/screwing section should be bonding. Meaning if the screw - threading section which are screwed with tapping holes, then connection should be bonding.

While, other contact may be set as frictional,

One important thing, make sure simplify the screw threading. Most of the time those features not affect to analysis and take lot of time solve.

Screw Contact
