I am preparing my final exam for graduate paper and would like to use COMSOL. Currently i am working with Nano-fluid flow in 3-D sinks. I have good experience with Fluents since i already work with basic 2-D flow, but I am thinking to go with COMSOL what is something you wish you had known when you switched from FLUENT to COMSOL?

I used COMSOL and i believe its more user-friendly than FLUENT. Both have different category. COMSOL geared toward academics where FLUENT is geared toward industry

Glad to see someone who utilise the software, what you think about their customer support ?

The customer service is more reputable than that of FLUENT

I have not used this software since 2018, but all i can say its a good software in term of micro channel flow, flow batteries etc it is streamlined for these applications. So, it is very good if you are looking at these specific problems.

How it goes with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)  ?

Its customisation in terms of CFD analysis. There are options to use many different types of solvers, turbulence models, multi-physics models. You can customize a lot of these models via user routines

It is good for rising the temperature but not very good for your CPU's health. Now, it depends a lot on where you live
